How much snow fell in Louisville on Friday? View the total accumulation

A second winter storm system in the span of a week dropped several inches of snow on Louisville as residents continue to feel the effects of Winter Storm Blair.

Louisville received about 3 inches of snow around the city on Friday, which continues to impact road conditions. Road crews with the Louisville Metro Snow Team and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet are working Saturday to clear area streets.

Snow will fall Friday evening from Winter Storm Cora in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. The storm dumped another two to four inches of snow on the Louisville metro area, after Winter Storm Blair dropped about eight inches earlier this week. January 10, 2025.

How much snow fell in Louisville on Friday?

The National Weather Service recorded 3 inches of snow at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.

The total snow depth in the area is 5 inches when taking into account snow left over from earlier this week.

Jeffersonville, Indiana also received 3 inches of snow.

Will Louisville get more snow on Saturday?

Other than the chance of showers between 7 and 8 a.m. Saturday, National Weather Service meteorologists don’t expect snowfall — or any precipitation — to hit Louisville Saturday or Sunday.

Temperatures are on track to rise above freezing this weekend, with highs of 33 degrees on Saturday and 38 degrees on Sunday.
