The U.S. women’s national basketball team heads into the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris with an impressive record: the national team has taken home seven consecutive gold medals and is aiming for eighth in France. And while WNBA rookies Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are not among the team’s 12 players, the women’s team is loaded with talent, from Brittany Griner and Breanna Stewart to Diana Taurasi, who is making her sixth Olympic appearance.

The preliminary rounds will be played at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille, with the final round of matches taking place at the Accor Arena in Paris. There are 12 women’s basketball teams competing in the 2024 Olympic Games. France automatically qualified as the host country. The other countries that qualified are listed below:
