MINNEAPOLIS – On Tuesday, Democratic vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz and Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. J.D. Vance shall meet for their only scheduled debate, hosted by CBS News at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York.
The debate begins at 8 p.m. and will be moderated by CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell and Face the Nation moderator Margaret Brennan.

Both candidates are busy prepare for confrontation. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is replacing Vance during Walz’s debate prep sessions, according to a Walz campaign official. Republican representative from Minnesota Tom Emmer is replacing Walz in Vance’s debate prep sessions, according to three sources familiar with Vance’s debate preparations.
