Humane Animal Partners is offering free pet services to cat owners in New Castle County this December.
Supported by a $50,000 grant from the Delaware General Assembly, HAP is offering two free spay/neuter days for county-owned cats. If necessary, a free rabies vaccine will be administered during the visit.
Community and stray cats are not eligible for this clinic.
“These free spay and neuter days are an incredible opportunity for cat owners in our community to access essential veterinary care while actively combating our state’s overpopulation crisis,” said Patrick Carroll, CEO of Humane Animal Partners. “We are grateful to the Delaware General Assembly for their support, which will allow us to launch this critical initiative and improve the lives of pets and their families.”
To participate, cat owners can visit HAP’s Wilmington location at 701 A St. on December 12 or the Stanton location at 455 Stanton Christiana Road on December 18.
HAP notes that spaces in the clinics are limited and will be filled quickly. Anyone who wants to make use of this free option should call as soon as possible to make an appointment. The Wilmington location can be reached at (302) 571-0111 and the Stanton/Christiana location at (302) 998-2281.
