November 8 – WEST DES MOINES, Iowa. – In 1999, the Belton Hy-Vee in Missouri proudly hosted a Veterans Day breakfast to honor local military members and active duty veterans. This time-honored tradition continues as Hy-Vee now celebrates the 25th anniversary of its Veterans Day Breakfast at all Hy-Vee stores. This year’s breakfast will take place on Monday, November 11, along with special events across the eight-state region.
A free buffet breakfast is offered to all veterans and active military members from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Hy-Vee stores.
Veterans and active duty military personnel will also receive 15% off their groceries on Monday, November 11 when they shop at Hy-Vee, Dollar Fresh Market and Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh locations.
In addition, Hy-Vee is holding its annual Hy-Vee Homefront Round Up, where the company partners with customers to raise money to support organizations that help veterans, active-duty military personnel and their families. The fundraiser runs through November 17 at all Hy-Vee stores, Dollar Fresh Market and Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh stores in the eight-state region. Hy-Vee will match all customer donations up to $100,000, with all proceeds benefiting Hope for the Warriors, Operation First Response, the American Red Cross and the Puppy Jake Foundation.
