Hezbollah has exchanged cross-border fire with Israel almost daily since Hamas’ October 7, 2023 attack on southern Israel, which sparked the war in the Gaza Strip.

The unprecedented attack resulted in the deaths of 1,206 people, mostly civilians, according to an AFP count based on official Israeli figures, including hostages who died in captivity.archived link).

Of the 251 hostages seized by militants, 97 are still being held in Gaza, including 33 who the Israeli military says are dead.

Israel’s retaliatory military offensive has killed more than 42,000 people in Gaza, most of them civilians, according to health ministry figures in the Hamas-held territory.

However, the video shows a fire in a warehouse in Brazil.
