India recorded a sensational seven-run win over South Africa in the thrilling final of the Twenty20 World Cup on Saturday.
South Africa were playing the final of an ICC tournament for the first time and needed a run-per-ball 30 to win. Heinrich Klaasen scored an impressive 52 from 27 balls.
But India’s pace bowlers roared back in the death overs to restrict them to 169-8.
Kohli’s maiden half-century in this tournament took India to 176-7 after captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat.

According to USA Cricket, the sport’s governing body, more than 400 competitions have opened in America, with over 200,000 players and counting. Cricket will feature at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
