(Bloomberg) — A Delhi court has granted bail to the national capital’s chief minister Arvind Kejriwaltwo weeks after the elections were completed in India.

In May, the Supreme Court had granted Kejriwal interim bail for electioneering. He returned to prison two days before the results were announced.
Kejriwal is facing money laundering charges related to a now-abolished tax regime on alcohol sales in Delhi and was arrested in March by the Directorate of Enforcement, the federal anti-money laundering agency.
The latest move comes after several rounds in the courts where Kejriwal was repeatedly denied bail. He has not resigned as chief minister despite calls from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party for his resignation.
Kejriwal is among the senior leaders of his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) arrested on charges that the party’s government in the national capital distorted alcohol prices in the region in exchange for bribes.
The party has consistently denied the allegations, often labeling them a political witch hunt by the BJP-led government that controls federal investigative agencies.
