IndyCar in Milwaukee: How to watch on USA, Peacock; start times; schedules; streaming

The NTT IndyCar Series returns to the Milwaukee Mile for the first time in nine years, and to great acclaim, with a double-header that kicks off a series of three oval races to conclude the 2024 season.

With Nashville Superspeedway hosting the season finale on September 15, it will mark the first time in 14 years that an IndyCar season will end with three consecutive oval races.

And the 250-lap races on Saturday (5:40 p.m. ET, streaming exclusively on Peacock) and Sunday (2:30 p.m. ET, USA and Peacock) will mark the first time IndyCar has raced at the Milwaukee Mile since 2015.

Of the 27 drivers competing in the race, five already have IndyCar experience at the track: Scott Dixon (12 starts), Will Power (seven), Graham Rahal (seven), Josef Negarden (four) and Katherine Legge (two).

There are two active drivers with victories at Milwaukee: Dixon in 2009 and Power in 2014. Rahal and Newgarden also finished in the top five at the 1.015-mile oval.

Alex Palou arrives in Milwaukee on the cusp of a third IndyCar championship

Palou could reclaim the title before the final race of the season as IndyCar returns to the Milwaukee Mile.

Championship leader Alex Palou makes his debut in Milwaukee with a 54 point lead over PowerPalou can clinch his third championship in four seasons if he leads by 55 points after Sunday’s race, but Power enters with the momentum of a win in Portland.

Legge returns this weekend in the No. 51 Dallara-Honda for Dale Coyne Racing, while Ed Carpenter steps out of the No. 20 Dallara-Chevrolet, replacing rookie Christian Rasmussen, who is making his IndyCar debut at a historic circuit.

In 1903, the first auto race was held in Milwaukee, and in 1939 the first of 113 IndyCar races.

Power will make his 300th IndyCar start this year, becoming only the tenth driver to reach the milestone.

Six-time IndyCar champion Scott Dixon will make his 400th career start, joining Mario Andretti (407) as the only drivers with at least 400 points. Dixon is on track to break the record at next year’s Indy 500.
