A late-night shooting in South Miami-Dade resulted in one person being airlifted by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and affected traffic into the Thursday morning rush hour.
The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. at US 1, or South Dixie Highway, and Southwest 232nd Street, according to Miami-Dade police. A man with gunshot wounds was found in a gray sedan and taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The investigation closed US 1 during the day on Thursday. Police had no suspect information to release.
