An investigation is underway after a police officer fatally shot a person in Northern Kentucky on Sunday.

Covington police responded to assist Taylor Mill police after reports that someone was threatening a family member with a knife on Grand Avenue in Taylor Mill, a Covington police spokesperson said.
Officers found the suspect in the home and threatened someone with a knife. Then shots were fired, police said.
According to our Cincinnati news partner WCPO, the person’s identity and condition have not yet been released.
The Kentucky State Police are handling the investigation.
