Police are investigating a crash in Dorchester on Friday evening that left one person dead and another with a broken leg.
Police were dispatched to the scene shortly after 8:30 p.m. for a report of an accident near 24 Fifield Street.
One person in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while another occupant suffered a broken leg, Boston police said.
Police say an investigation into the death is ongoing.
Boston police initially said they were investigating the incident as a shooting.
