More than 450 guns and more than $4,000 were seized during an investigation into an alleged illegal gambling operation in Tucson.
The investigation by the Arizona Department of Gaming and the Arizona Department of Public Safety resulted in the arrest of two unknown individuals. According to the Gaming Department, they are both charged with multiple crimes.
The agencies seized 452 guns, ammunition, firearm accessories, more than $4,000 in cash and bank accounts after concluding their investigation into alleged illegal gun lotteries on Oct. 30.
“Record-breaking seizures like this only highlight the criminal activity that illegal gambling businesses attract when left unregulated, posing a significant threat to public safety,” said Jackie Johnson, director of the Arizona Department of Gaming.
