Iran’s religious leader wants a measured response to the Israeli attack

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has called for a measured approach following Saturday’s Israeli attack on military sites.

‘How to demonstrate the strength and will of the Iranian people [Israel] It is up to those responsible to decide,” Khamenei said at an event in the capital Tehran on Sunday, according to state news agency IRNA.

“What must be done is what is in the best interest of this people and this country,” the 85-year-old religious leader added.

Khamenei’s words after the Israeli airstrikes are considered relatively moderate.

In the context of the conflict in the Middle East and following the assassination of Iranian generals and leading allies, the head of state has also vowed revenge in recent months.

His statements are considered the final word to guide both the Iranian government and military.

According to official sources, the Israeli attack killed four soldiers and damaged several military sites, such as radar installations.
