The Lebanese army has accused Israel of violating a ceasefire agreement several times since the deal came into effect on Wednesday.
Israel “violates the agreement several times by air violations and attacking Lebanese territory with various weapons,” the country said in a statement on social media platform X.
It added that “the army leadership is following up on these violations in coordination with the relevant authorities,” although no further details were provided.
Earlier Thursday, the Israeli military said it had identified and “thwarted” a facility used by the Iran-allied Hezbollah militia to store missiles in southern Lebanon.
The 60-day ceasefire aims to end fighting between Israel and Hezbollah that began more than a year ago in the aftermath of the October 7, 2023, attacks.
