Four Israeli soldiers were killed in the north of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army said on Tuesday.
The dead soldiers were non-commissioned officers aged 20 and 21, the report said.
According to Israeli media reports, they were killed when an anti-tank weapon fired by Palestinian forces hit a building where they were sheltering in the Jabalia refugee camp, north of Gaza City.
According to the IDF, 787 Israeli soldiers have been killed since Israel entered the Gaza Strip following the October 7, 2023, attacks on southern Israel by the Hamas movement and other extremists.
The Hamas-controlled health authority in the region reports that more than 43,600 Palestinians have been killed and another 103,000 injured since then. The information does not distinguish between combatants and civilians.
