Israel’s Foreign Minister condemns the ‘shocking’ attack in Magdeburg

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has expressed his condolences following the deadly attack on a Christmas market in the central German city of Magdeburg, which killed five people and injured another 200.

“Shocking images from Magdeburg, Germany last night,” Saar wrote on social media platform X on Saturday.

“I condemn this devastating crime,” he added, saying he had sent his country’s condolences to his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock.

“Israel stands with the German people in their mourning and provides all necessary assistance.”
