In Miami-Dade and Broward, the NWS warns that high temperatures will be expected from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Temperatures are expected to remain in the 85 to 90 degree range, but when you factor in humidity, the wind chill is expected to be as high as 109 degrees.
Areas affected include Kendall, Hialeah, Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs. There is also a 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms in Miami-Dade, and a 50 percent chance in Broward, according to the NWS.

In the Keys, the heat advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with temperatures reaching as high as 108 degrees Fahrenheit.
These temperatures can increase the risk of heat-related illness. People are encouraged to stay hydrated, stay in air-conditioned areas, and avoid direct sunlight. Limit outdoor activities during the hottest hours, usually between noon and 3 p.m., and wear light, loose-fitting clothing.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends taking frequent breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas. If symptoms of heat-related illness occur, such as excessive sweating, clammy skin, confusion or fainting, seek immediate medical attention by calling 911, as heat stroke can be life-threatening.
