We’ve been talking all morning about how hot it could get. And with a three-day weekend approaching, the oppressive heat could take some of the fun out of outdoor activities.

But there is good news: it should cool down. Here is a look at the forecast for late Tuesday morning, August 27.

Weather forecast for Friday August 30

The NWS forecast for Indianapolis calls for a 50% chance of rain, with highs in the 90s and lows in the upper 60s.

Heat Warning in Indiana: It is never safe to leave pets and children alone in the car, especially nowadays

Weather forecast for Saturday August 31st

On Saturday there is a slight chance of thunderstorms and showers. Highs will be in the mid 80s and lows in the low 60s.

Weather forecast for Sunday September 1st

On Sunday, temperatures will be around 27 degrees Celsius, with a minimum temperature around 15 degrees Celsius.

Labor Day Weather Forecast (Monday, September 2)

By Labor Day, highs are expected to reach the mid-25s in the Indianapolis area.

Indiana has a heat warning

The heat advisory is in effect from 11am to 9pm on Tuesday.
