Democratic Senator Jacky Rosen was re-elected in Nevada, overcoming a challenge from Republican Sam Brown.
Rosen, who was first elected in 2018, used her significant cash advantage over Brown to run ads portraying her opponent as an anti-abortion extremist and a political carpetbagger who only moved to the state in 2018.
While campaigning with Kamala Harris in Nevada, Rosen skipped the Democrats’ national convention and focused her campaign on her ability to work with Republicans across the aisle — a key position in a state where a third of voters are registered independents.
Brown, a combat veteran who lost a primary two years ago for the state’s other Senate seat, struggled to keep up with Rosen’s fundraising and received relatively little support from his national party in the race.
