Jill Biden silently gave Joe Biden a few sentences, reminded him of the name of a mega donor and told him to thank them, the report said

  • Jill Biden whispered the name of a donor in Joe Biden’s ear and reminded him to thank him, a report has revealed.

  • According to New York Magazine’s Intelligencer, Biden repeated the words his wife gave him.

  • Biden has lost the support of key Democratic donors, and some are urging him to step aside.

Jill Biden silently spoke a few sentences to President Joe Biden, reminding him of the name of a megadonor and asking him to thank him, New York Magazine’s Intelligencer reported, citing an anonymous witness to the exchange.

According to the report, Biden stared blankly and nodded as he recently greeted a Democratic megadonor and a family friend at the White House when the First Lady entered.

The source did not name the donor or when the alleged exchange took place.

According to the witness, he then spoke the exact same words his wife had told him, the medium reported.

“Things haven’t been going well for a while, but now it’s gotten so, so much worse,” the person told Intelligencer.

Since his disastrous performance at last week’s debate, Biden has been trying to convince Democratic governors, House Democrats, aides, voters and donors that he is fit to run for re-election.

He and his campaign have blamed a cold, poor preparation and jet lag for his poor debate performance against former President Donald Trump on June 27th.

That performance was marked by a hoarse voice, meandering thoughts, verbal errors and blank facial expressions.

During a meeting with top Democratic governors on Wednesday, the 81-year-old president said he simply needs to get more sleep and stop holding events after 8 p.m., CNN and The New York Times reported.

But Biden is losing support among some Democratic donors, some of whom have publicly called on him to step aside.

Billionaire heiress Abigail Disney told CNBC on Thursday that she will stop donating to the Democratic Party “until they replace Biden at the top of the ticket.”

“If Biden doesn’t step down, the Democrats will lose. I’m absolutely certain of that,” she said, adding that the consequences of a loss would be “truly terrible.”

Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings, one of the biggest Democratic donors, has also called on Biden to withdraw from the race to give another candidate a chance to beat Trump, The New York Times reported.

“Biden must step aside so a strong Democratic leader can defeat Trump and keep us safe and prosperous,” Hastings said in an email to the Times.

In a post on X over the weekend, investor Whitney Tilson, a longtime Biden backer, said he was reconsidering his support after Biden’s weak performance last week.

Despite mounting pressure to withdraw from the race, Biden told aides he was “not going to leave” during a Wednesday phone call with his campaign and Democratic National Convention staff, Politico reported, citing anonymous aides on the call.

ABC News also announced that it would air Biden’s first televised interview since last week’s debate “in its entirety as a primetime special” on Friday at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
