Drones have become an integral part of television coverage of professional golf.
Whether it’s at a major championship or a weekly stop, every week you can see and hear drones buzzing on golf courses across the country. While they provide some incredible photos and give a new perspective on courses never seen before, they also have some drawbacks due to the noise.
Enter LIV Golf’s Jon Rahm, who was three shots behind Legion XIII teammate Tyrrell Hatton at LIV Golf Nashville at The Grove on Sunday when he stood on the par-4 sixth tee. Rahm’s tee shot sailed straight into the water hazard, and before his ball reached its apex, he turned and looked at the sky in disgust.
“Every tournament. It’s fucking incredible. Right on my backswing. These fg drones every time,” the microphones heard the two-time major champion say.
Jon Rahm is NOT happy with the drones at LIV Golf Nashville:
“Every tournament. It’s fucking incredible. Right on my backswing. Those damn drones every time.”
He was within 2, but just double stuck it in the drink! pic.twitter.com/beymUmZbuw

Drones, but louder.
Rahm would then make the double, the worst score on the hole among the golfers who had completed the hole by that time (remember, LIV Golf events begin with a shotgun start).
The Spaniard has delivered some great mic moments before, but he also has a point about drones moving mid-swing. It happens more often than you think, and given Rahm’s fiery competitiveness, it’s no surprise that he’s the one to let us know what many other professional golfers probably think about drones.
