Kaley Cuoco and “Ozark” actor Tom Pelphrey are engaged!
Cuoco announced the news on August 14 when she posted a photo to her Instagram Story showing her flashing a diamond engagement ring while cuddling up to Pelphrey.
“Amazing weekend,” the “Flight Attendant” star, who has 1-year-old daughter Matilda with Pelphrey, wrote on the Instagram Story.
News of the couple’s engagement comes a year after Pelphrey revealed he didn’t know Cuoco had starred in the hit TV series “The Big Bang Theory” when they first started dating.
“I had never seen Kaley in anything,” Pelphrey told W Magazine in an interview published in August 2023. “Look, I live in a cave. Before I met Kaley, I lived in upstate New York, on a dirt road, in the middle of the woods, with very little Wi-Fi. She’s brought me into the modern day.”
Pelphrey added that he discovered Cuoco’s role when he first took her to New Jersey to meet his friends and family. During their visit, his mother’s partner kept accidentally calling Cuoco “Penny,” the name of her character on the hit series “The Big Bang Theory,” which ran on CBS from 2007 to 2019.
“I pulled Kaley aside and was like, ‘I’m sorry, I don’t get what’s happening. Why does he keep calling you Penny?'” Pelphrey said. “She was like, ‘That’s my character on ‘The Big Bang Theory.’ I had no idea.
Cuoco and Pelphrey have been in a relationship since 2022.

April 2022: Cuoco and Pelphrey meet at the ‘Ozark’ premiere
Cuoco and Pelphrey were originally introduced by their manager, Andrea Pett-Joseph, and met at the “Ozark” premiere in April 2022.
“I heard his voice, and I turned around, and it was like my life was over, or just beginning,” Cuoco told USA Today in an interview the following month. “It hit me. It was love at first sight.”
Cuoco filed for divorce from her ex-husband, Karl Cook, in September 2021 after three years of marriage. Cuoco was previously married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting; they split in 2015 after two years of marriage.
Cuoco added that the Pett-Joseph set-up “So Hollywood’, but also that she was immediately attracted to Pelphrey.
“We just connected right away,” Cuoco said. “I feel like I’ve known him my whole life, but I just wasn’t ready.”

Cuoco announced on October 11, 2022, via an Instagram post that she was expecting a child with Pelphrey.

A few months after Matilda’s birth, Cuoco shared a post on Instagram in June 2023 in honor of Pelphrey’s first Father’s Day.
“Watching you become a father was the joy of my life!” Cuoco captioned the post. “No one loves you more than that little lady (except me).”
Pelphrey said in the August 2023 interview with W Magazine that while he recognizes some of himself in his daughter, especially in the dimple on her left cheek, he sees more of Cuoco in her.
“But other than that, I see Kaley,” Pelphrey said. “Kaley says she sees me, but when Matilda is confused or frustrated about something, she makes these faces and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, there’s your mom.'”

On August 14, 2024, Cuoco announced the couple’s plans to tie the knot when she shared a photo of herself showing off her diamond engagement ring while holding her hand next to Pelphrey’s face.
