A Kentucky woman was arrested early Sunday on vehicular homicide and other charges after she collided with a man driving a moped, according to state police.

Kayleigh J. Dismuke, 19, of Eubank, is charged with vehicular homicide while intoxicated, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, failure to wear a seat belt and possession of an alcoholic beverage in a vehicle.

Kentucky State Police in London were dispatched shortly after midnight Sunday to a fatal two-vehicle collision at US 27 and East Frog Hollow Road in Pulaski County.

The initial investigation shows that a gray 2014 Jeep Wrangler driven by Dismuke was traveling north on U.S. 27 when her vehicle struck the rear of a black Happyrun moped traveling north, state police said.

Dino R. Collins, 31, of Cincinnati, was driving the moped. According to state police, Collins was thrown from the moped and taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where he later died.

Dismuke is being held at the Pulaski County Detention Center, according to online jail records. She is scheduled to appear in court on Monday morning.
