After trading back in the 2024 NBA Draft, the Knicks selected guard Pacome Dadite with the No. 25 pick on Wednesday night.
New York originally held the No. 24 pick, but they traded it to the Washington Wizards for the No. 26 and No. 51 picks. The Knicks then dealt that No. 26 pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for five picks in the second round , reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The 2.03 meter tall Dadiet averaged 6.6 points with a 47.3 percent shooting percentage in 59 games in three different European competitions last season.
By trading the No. 26 pick and stashing Dadiet, and replacing those picks with two second-round picks at rookie minimums, the Knicks will save approximately $3 million in team salary for the upcoming season, according to Yossi Gozlan of Capsheet.com .
It’s still unclear if the Knicks will stash Dadiet.
