Lake Nebagamon meal, Steve Solkela and Wascott Christmas party

December 20 – Superior: There will be a yoga class at 10:30 am at the Superior Public Library. Bring a mat if you have one. Free, but donations to support library programming are accepted.

Superior: A holiday market with local vendors is from noon to 4 p.m. at The Main Club, 1217 Tower Ave.

Superior: Steve Solkela performs music and comedy at the Douglas County Historical Society, 1101 John Ave., at 2 p.m. Admission is $15 for ages 13 and older and $5 for ages 12 and under.

Lake Nebagamon: A free meal for those without vacation plans is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lake Nebagamon Auditorium, 11596 Waterfront Drive. 150 meals will be served, first come, first served.

Superior: Steve Solkela performs music and comedy at the Douglas County Historical Society, 1101 John Ave., at 2 p.m. Admission is $15 for ages 13 and older and $5 for ages 12 and under.

Superior: A “Blue Christmas” service for people dealing with grief and stress is at 7 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 2022 E. Second St. Pie, with refreshments to follow.

Superior: Lego Club is open for youth every Monday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Superior Public Library.

Superior: A free showing of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is at the Superior Public Library at 6 p.m. Subtitles are enabled.

Wascott: The Wascott Area Children’s Christmas Party is from noon to 2 p.m. at Wascott Town Hall, 16362 S Town Hall Road. There are cookies, punch and coffee, as well as gifts and treats for the children. Santa Claus will appear.

Superior: Get help using your laptop, tablet or smartphone from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Superior Public Library. Library staff provides first-come, first-served education and problem-solving assistance.

Superior: Lego Club for Homeschooled Youth is at the Superior Public Library from 2-4 p.m.

Superior: There will be a chair yoga class at 10:30 a.m. at the Superior Public Library. Reap the benefits of yoga while using a chair for balance and stability. Free, but donations to support library programming are accepted.

Superior: Zenith City Horror will host a drag show at Superior Tavern, 1224 Tower Ave., at 8 p.m. Free admission.

Solon Springs: Lego Club is open to youth from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Joan Salmen Memorial Library.

Superior: Youth ages 13 to 17 can make their own small bookshelf at the Superior Public Library at 2 p.m. All necessities available. Register by sending an email to wiisanenk@superiorlibrary.org.

Superior: The Superior Fire Department offers free car seat checks at the rear of the main office, 3326 Tower Ave., between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. A certified technician will check that the seats are installed correctly. No appointment necessary.

Brule: Brule Valley Ski Club offers free cross-country skiing lessons for beginners. Meet at the chalet on the After Hours Trail in the Brule River State Forest at noon. Adults and children (ages 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult) can learn classic skiing or skating. Participants must bring their own skis. The club pays for state trail day passes and helps pay for ski rentals at Ski Hut, Continental Ski and Bike, New Moon Ski and Bike Shop or Riverbrook Bike and Ski.
