NEW YORK — Drivers from New Jersey and Staten Island can expect lane closures and delays at the bridges and tunnels around New York City this week.

The Port Authorities of New York and New Jersey closed several lanes this weekend on the George Washington Bridge, the Holland Tunnel, the Lincoln Tunnel, the Bayonne Bridge and the Goethals Bridge.

The GWB closures were completed ahead of Monday’s commute, but the following remain in place this week.

Closure of lanes in the Holland Tunnel

The closures of both the Holland and Lincoln tunnels will take place at night.

At the Holland Tunnel, one eastbound lane will be closed every night between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. until Thursday, June 13.

Lane closures in the Lincoln Tunnel

The north tube of the Lincoln Tunnel will be closed nightly from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM through Wednesday, June 12.

Drivers approaching from 10th Avenue should use the right lane at 40th Street to access the tunnel into New Jersey. Drivers heading to New York will not be affected.

Lane closures at the Bayonne Bridge

Unlike the tunnels, the Bayonne Bridge lane closures will coincide with morning traffic.

Each day through Friday, June 14, one southbound right lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. On Tuesday, June 11, one northbound right lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Goethals Bridge lane closures

As for the Goethals Bridge, one westbound left lane will be closed from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
