Los Angeles police seized many fireworks during a raid in Gardena on Wednesday evening.
Officers from the department’s Harbor Division served a search warrant in the 1600 block of W. 146th Street around 7 p.m. Investigators discovered a large stash of fireworks in what appeared to be a garage. It is unclear exactly how many fireworks were seized.
The LAPD bomb squad responded to the arrest, but officers believed there was no threat to the public and would not evacuate nearby residents.
