Power has been restored to most Louisville residents, but thousands of Northeastern Kentucky residents are still without electricity two days after the remnants of Tropical Storm Helene made landfall in the state.
About 1,000 Jefferson County residents were without power Sunday morning, according to LG&E’s outage tracker. At least 205,000 customers in Louisville and the rest of the state lost power this weekend.
In a statement on
“We continue to work around the clock to repair the nearly 1,500 broken wires and 101 poles assessed to date,” LG&E said.
There were an estimated 57,380 outages in Kentucky as of Sunday morning, Gov. Andy Beshear said on X.

Louisville residents may see some rain and fog throughout Monday, but the rest of the week is expected to have mostly clear skies.

Sunday evening: 20% chance of showers before 11 p.m. and fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise mostly cloudy, with a low around 64 and light northeast winds.
Monday: 40% chance of showers, especially after 11am, and localized fog between 10am and 12pm. Otherwise partly sunny, with a high near 76 and calm winds.
Monday evening: Patchy fog after 10 p.m. Otherwise partly cloudy, with a low around 64 degrees and calm winds.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming northwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday evening: Mostly clear, with a low around 52.
Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 72.
Wednesday evening: Clear, with a low around 51.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 77.
Thursday evening: Mostly clear, with a low around 56.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 80.
Friday evening: Mostly clear, with a low around 57.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 76.
