MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (CBS) – Librarians from 12 libraries in Delaware County received life-saving training Friday, including NARCAN nasal spray and “stop the bleeding” classes at the Middletown Free Library.

The classes were provided by Delco Revive of the Delaware County Health Department, a program supported in part by funds distributed by Delaware County Opioid Fund.

The program provides free lifesaving supplies including Xylazine test strips, Fentanyl tests, basic wound care kits and NARCAN nasal spray to schools, businesses and organizations across the country.

Friday’s training was designed to prepare librarians to save a life during critical community emergencies.

For more information about the trainings, visit DelcoRevive.com or contact the Delaware County Wellness Line at (484) 276-2100.
