MINNEAPOLIS— A strong cold front is moving into Minnesota, bringing light snow in time for the Wednesday morning commute.
Snow will fall overnight with most of the Twin Cities expected to see less than a half inch.
Wednesday will be frigid, with highs in the single digits in the afternoon and wind chills down to minus 20. That cold air will bring us below zero overnight.
The metro will dip below zero for the first time this season early Thursday, with highs expected to be in the single digits.
The weekend will warm up, possibly above freezing, with a slight chance of light snow Friday or Saturday in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. There’s also a chance the metro could see highs around 40 degrees early next week.
