Lima man jailed for trespass and voyeurism

Dec. 12—WAPAKONETA — A Lima man was sentenced Wednesday to five years of probation and 30 days in jail in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court after pleading guilty in October to charges of fourth-degree trespassing and fifth-degree voyeurism.

Zachary Milano, 23, is also classified as a sex offender and must register with police annually for 15 years. He is not allowed to have social media and must obtain and maintain employment after prison.

Milano’s attorney, Chris Bucio, said Milano was ashamed of his actions as Milano sat next to him, shaking and emotional. He also said that Milano had a difficult childhood, with his parents divorcing when he was ten years old and his father drinking, being verbally abusive and openly watching pornography while Milano was around. Bucio said Milano was also bullied at school.

Milano admitted that he is addicted to pornography. The victim in the case was 15 years old.

“This victim will never trust men again,” Judge Frederick Pepple told Milano. ‘Grow up. You knew this was wrong. You can distinguish between good and evil. You can’t allow yourself to think like a fourteen-year-old boy.’
