Local school district with free summer lunches

A local school district and police department have come together to offer free lunches to the community this summer.

The Springfield Police Division and the Springfield City School District partnered to offer a summer food program at the police station at 17 W. Johnny Lytle Ave., according to a social media post.

The program is offered Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.

Free lunch is available to any student 18 years and under.

The promotion runs until August 2, with the exception of June 19 and July 4.
