Glen Powell is thankful for his wise parents!
Appears on The Jennifer Hudson Show On Wednesday, June 5, the actor, 35, revealed the advice his mother Cyndy and father Glen Powell Sr. – who have been married for more than 40 years – taught him about romance.
“You know they give me love advice because I really think love has to survive this long in this world,” Glen said. “I think you must have some tricks.”
“I think what they always tell me is, ‘You’ve got to find someone with a sense of humor,’” he added. “You know, life is inevitably going to have highs and lows, but you always have to have someone to do that.” can see the silver lining, the positive side of things and just the humor, whether it’s good or bad.

In November, Glen shared a carousel post with photos of him and his parents at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC, where his father had proposed 40 years earlier.
“A quick trip to the base of the Jefferson Memorial…where my dad proposed to my mom 40 years ago,” his caption read. “Happy anniversary, you two. Lucky to have your love in my life every day.”
Glen’s comments about his parents’ advice also come after they cheated on him during a special screening of his film Touch man in May, where he was also inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame at the Paramount Theater.

As he posed on the red carpet, his parents held up cardboard signs behind his back, with Cyndy’s card reading: “STOP TRYING TO MAKE GLEN POWELL HAPPEN.”
On the map of Glen Sr. also said: “IT’S NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN.”

Glen addressed the joke and later explained that it was his parents’ sense of humor.
“Well, my family — always my mom and my dad — have been known to troll me a little bit,” he said Entertainment tonight. “I don’t read tweets, but my parents read tweets, so if you’re talking about s, just know that my parents read those tweets.”
“They thought it would be a funny idea, so I loved it,” he continued. “Even though they troll me, they support me in every way possible.”
