A street in downtown Los Angeles was robbed overnight and a Metro bus was defaced with graffiti.
The bus carrying passengers was approaching the intersection of 9th and West Olympic Boulevard around 3 a.m. when the bus was surrounded by people involved in a takeover of a nearby street.
When police arrived on the scene, everyone involved dispersed.
There were reports of fireworks being set off and several nearby buildings were also defaced with graffiti during the takeover.
LAPD said at least 50 vehicles were involved in the street takeover. No arrests have been made.
The incident remains under investigation while police collect evidence.
