“Love Island USA” personality Hannah Smith was arrested in Atlanta late last month and charged with threatening to kill a police officer, police said in an incident report.
Smith, 26, a North Carolina resident who appeared on the dating show’s sixth and most-watched season, was arrested Sept. 30 at a Gracie Abrams concert at the Coca-Cola Roxy and charged with disorderly conduct, Cobb County police said .
According to the incident report, Smith was escorted out of the concert venue by security for allegedly yelling and screaming. Officials said she was intoxicated.
As she was being escorted out, Smith struck an emergency medical services member who was assisting, according to a Cobb County officer who oversaw the situation. Once they were outside the location, the officer advised Smith and her friends to leave the property, the report said.
“Smith, who was still yelling and cursing and dropping items from her purse, began walking toward me and attempted to hit me,” the officer said in the report. “However, before she made contact, I grabbed her arm, placed her on the ground and placed her under arrest.”
Once she was on the ground, Smith attempted to kick the officer “multiple times,” the report alleges.
On the way to the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Adult Detention Center, Smith allegedly threatened to kill the officer and the officer’s sister. It is not clear from the report what relevance the officer’s sister had to the incident.
Smith was taken into custody and charged with two felonies: terroristic threats and obstructing or obstructing an officer, police said. She was released on bail the next day, according to online records.
It was not immediately clear whether Smith had an attorney Tuesday.
Smith debuted this summer as an OG member of the season of “Love Island USA,” hosted by fan-favorite “Vanderpump Rules” star Ariana Madix.
She linked up with Kendall Washington on Day 1 before he was ultimately chosen by bombshell Nicole Jacky, leaving Smith vulnerable and causing her to leave the island on Day 10.
Washington and Jacky continued dating before calling it quits after the show’s reunion.
