From an earlier complaint in the Karen Read case regarding the search by the SERT team: “Members of the SERT team found a black Nike sneaker with a white Nike logo on the side, matching the sneaker that victim was wearing at the time his body was discovered. In the same area where the body was recovered, two red plastic pieces of a taillight were located, matching the pieces missing from the defendant’s black Lexus. Also located in the same location was a piece of clear plastic taillight, also consistent with the Lexus’ broken taillight.”

The late John O’Keefe’s niece and nephew were called to the witness stand on Tuesday, as the trial was held on its final day, and testified that Read and their uncle had many “disagreements and arguments” during their relationship.
O’Keefe’s cousin testified that he witnessed O’Keefe and Read having “many disagreements and arguments,” including during trips to Florida and Aruba.
Doctor Justin Rice revealed that when O’Keefe arrived at the emergency room, he had no pulse and his body temperature was 80 degrees.
Dr. Rice said O’Keefe had superficial abrasions on his right forearm.
Rice also took blood from Karen Read when she was brought in for a mental health evaluation.
A Massachusetts State Police toxicologist says he used the blood drawn to retroactively calculate that Read would have been drunk at the time the accuser alleges she struck O’Keefe.
