Macron condemns ‘horror’ at the German Christmas market

French President Emmanuel Macron said he was “deeply shocked” by Friday’s suspected car attack on a Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany, that left two dead and dozens injured.

“Deeply shocked by the horrors that took place this evening at the Magdeburg Christmas market in Germany,” he wrote on X.

“My thoughts are with the victims, the injured and their loved ones and families. France shares the pain of the German people and expresses its full solidarity.”
