* Who will win the 2024 presidential race? The latest three national polls point in opposite directions: A CNN poll found Vice President Kamala Harris with a one-point lead over Donald Trump; a Quinnipiac University poll showed Trump with a one-point lead over Harris; and the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll found the Democratic candidate with a six-point lead. * The latest USA Today/Suffolk University poll found Harris leading Trump in Michigan, 48% to 45% among likely voters. (Click on the link for information about the poll’s methodology and margin of error.)

* Future Forward PAC, a prominent super PAC affiliated with Harris’ campaign, has launched a new television ad ridiculing Trump’s disputed allegations that Haitian immigrants eat pets.

* Ahead of next week’s vice presidential debate, the latest polling data from the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is significantly more liked than his Republican counterpart, Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio.

* Faced with an avalanche of brazen allegations, North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson claims he has hired a law firm to investigate his latest scandal. The Hill’s report added: “Robinson’s campaign said Tuesday it has hired Binnall Law Group, a Northern Virginia-based law firm whose partner, Jesse Binnall, had worked for former President Trump and his campaign.”
