An Ocala man was killed early Saturday in a single-vehicle crash along a curve in northwest Marion County.
This is what we know:
What time was the crash reported? Marion County Fire Rescue spokesman James Lucas said crews were assigned to the call at 5:11 a.m. and arrived within three minutes. The patient was pronounced deceased at 5:16 am
Where did the crash happen? At Northwest 70th Avenue and Northwest 70th Avenue Road.
Who is investigating the crash? Florida Highway Patrol.
Do you have information about the deceased? Yes, police said he was 19 and from Ocala.
What happened? FHP officials said the young man, behind the wheel of a VW Jetta SUV, was driving north on County Road 225A (70th Avenue Road) when he failed to maintain his lane while approaching a left turn.
The car left the roadway, rolled and then struck a tree in a grassy area. Police said the driver was not wearing his seat belt. It is unknown where he was going when the crash occurred, troopers said.

Was the road blocked? Yes, for a few hours. It was released again around 9 a.m
How many recent traffic fatalities have there been in Marion County? Since May 27, FHP forces have recorded four traffic fatalities. Saturday’s fatal crash was the second for troopers since Wednesday. The figures do not include figures from the cities of Ocala, Belleview or Dunnellon.
