A 25-year-old man was shot in the head on a Brooklyn street early Wednesday, police said.
The victim was shot just before 5 a.m. outside an apartment building on St. John’s Place near Schenectady Ave. in Crown Heights
Medics rushed him to Kings County Hospital, but he could not be saved. The victim’s name was not immediately released.
The shooter fled and was not caught.
NYPD detectives scoured the area Wednesday for surveillance footage that could help them identify a suspect.
The shooting capped a night of bloodshed in Brooklyn that began around 10 p.m. Tuesday at a NYCHA complex just a mile away.
A 24-year-old man was shot in the left thigh in the lobby of a Kingsborough Houses building on Kingsborough 7th Walk, police said.
Medics took the victim to Brookdale University Hospital, where he is expected to recover. When questioned, the victim did not cooperate with investigators, police said.
At 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, a 40-year-old man was shot in the lower back on Eldert Lane near McKinley Ave. in East New York. He was taken to Brookdale University Hospital and is expected to recover.
None of the shootings appear to be related, police said.
