One man was shot dead and another pistol-whipped by a gang of thugs on a Bronx street, police said Monday.
Tyreek Moore, 26, and a 24-year-old man he was walking with were confronted on Seward Ave. Sunday around 5:55 p.m. near Pugsley Ave. in Castle Hill, police said.
Three men dressed in black and a woman dressed in gray tried to rob the victims. At least one of the victims resisted and during the struggle, Moore was shot in the back.
Medics rushed him to Jacobi Medical Center but could not be saved. Moore was about three miles from home when he was shot.
The younger victim, hit in the head with a gun, was taken to the same hospital and is expected to recover.
The crooks made off with the younger victim’s cell phone and wallet and have not yet been caught, police said.
