A man reportedly armed with a gun was arrested Thursday after a brief standoff with police at a Little Caesar’s store in Arleta.

Officers were first dispatched to the area, in the 14400 block of Van Nuys Boulevard, around 5:30 p.m. after hearing reports of a man with a gun in the area, Los Angeles police said.

While it was not confirmed that the suspect had barricaded himself inside the store, large groups of LAPD officers could be seen gathering around the front of the pizzeria.

Police reported that the suspect was arrested without further incident at around 5:40 p.m.

Initially, a search was made for a second suspect, but it was later confirmed that no one else was found.

It is unclear whether a firearm was found during the arrest.
