Man arrested after stealing $30,000 worth of equipment from Glendale church

Detectives with the Glendale Police Department have arrested a man for stealing a truck and trailer filled with $30,000 worth of equipment from a Glendale church and transporting it to his home in Tonopah.

Edward Charles Gouer, 44, was arrested Nov. 5 after police received an anonymous tip about where items stolen from The Table Church might be located. The church holds its services at Arrowhead Elementary School near Union Hills Drive and 75th Avenue in Glendale.

Detectives recovered the stolen trailer along with all its contents at Gouer’s home. He was later arrested at a construction site where he claimed he did not know how the trailer ended up at his house. The truck, a Ford F-250, was not found.

On Oct. 26, video from multiple cameras captured Gouer driving a Chevy Trailblazer into the church parking lot around 9:30 p.m. Shortly after parking behind a silver Ford F-250 with an attached trailer, the truck and trailer begin to drive away, with the Trailblazer following.
