A man was arrested Tuesday morning at a Wawa in Philadelphia’s Mayfair neighborhood after vandalizing a gas station and committing arson, according to police.
The Philadelphia Police Department and Philadelphia Fire Department were notified of a fire at the Wawa in the 7000 block of East Roosevelt Boulevard just before 12:30 p.m.

Investigators said a 37-year-old man allegedly damaged several gas pumps and caused a fire between the pumps. The Philadelphia Fire Department treated the fire and called it an arson. Police said authorities arrested the suspect at the Wawa.
Northeast Detectives are investigating the incident.
