Man fatally shot, found near West Side apartment complex

Oct. 16 – An unidentified man was shot and killed near a Northwest Albuquerque apartment early Wednesday morning.

Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Gilbert Gallegos said police responded just after 5 a.m. to a call of a body at the entrance to Volcanes Commons in the 6900 block of Glenrio, near Interstate 40 and 72nd Street.

Gallegos said when officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound.

Homicide detectives are investigating, Gallegos said.
