Nov. 27 – A man was injured in a shooting that police say happened early Tuesday morning on Cerrillos Road, and two people were taken into custody and charged in the incident.
Police arrested Jair Rascon-Chavez, 21, and Luis Adrian Garcia, 22, both of Santa Fe.
Santa Fe police said in a news release that both men were “wearing face coverings and ballistic vests, and were armed with guns.”
The men face a range of charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, shooting at or from a motor vehicle and negligent use of a deadly weapon, according to documents filed Tuesday in Santa Fe County Magistrate Court.
The shooting victim is a 48-year-old man from Glorieta. Police said officers were dispatched to Presbyterian Hospital around 2:40 a.m. Tuesday, where the man had one gunshot wound and was in stable condition.
