Man injured when train catches fire at Amtrak yard in Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) — One person was injured Wednesday night when a train caught fire at an Amtrak yard along the South Branch of the Chicago River.

According to the fire department, a fire broke out on a multiple unit train at the Amtrak yard in the 1600 block of South Lumber Street. A Level 1 fire engine was called to the scene of an oil spill.

One man suffered minor injuries and was taken to Stroger Hospital in Cook County.

No further details were available on Wednesday evening.
