One man was killed and another injured in a crash between two cars and a truck in Santa Clarita early Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-5 near Calgrove Boulevard.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear, but firefighters arrived on scene and transported one of the victims to a nearby hospital. Their condition was not immediately known.
The second victim, who has since been identified by the Los Angeles County coroner as 24-year-old Roberto Flores, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators reported that a car left the highway during the accident, but they could not provide any further information.
