CHICAGO (CBS) — A 32-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting on the city’s West Side on Wednesday morning.
Chicago police say the man was sitting in a car in the 500 block of North Pine Avenue just before 9:30 a.m. when a silver sedan, possibly a Chevy Equinox, approached and several people inside fired shots in his direction.
The perpetrators then fled south on Pine, police said.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body and later died.
No arrests were made Wednesday.
Area 4 detectives are investigating.
